It is a question that does rather belong to another list.
You might want to consult the Whirlwind Guide to SGML and XML tools
http://www.infotek.no/sgmltool/guide.htm
You will find links to parsers that can validate your XML documents.
Just to reformulate David's question: what led you to raise such a
question here?
