Bug #: 13317
Summary: improve parse error recovery heuristics
Product: systemtap
Version: unspecified
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: translator
AssignedTo: systemtap@sourceware.org
ReportedBy: fche@redhat.com
Classification: Unclassified
When we encounter a parse error, some bits of code try to skip some input
tokens heuristically, to restart the parser, to try to supply extra error
messages. In practice, this often produces a cascade of misleading messages.
Let's change this to err on the side of fewer messages and top level
restart points.
