- Subject: SystemTapGUI - New release v1.1-rc1 is available
Hi,
SystemTapGUI v1.1-rc1 is now available on Sourceforge:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/stapgui/files/SystemTapGui-1.1/
The new features in this release include:
1. Dashboard - Provides a set of SystemTap scripts (taken from the
example scripts that
are shipped with the SystemTap rpm) categorized on subsystem basis.
These scripts can be
run on any remote machine and output visualized graphically. The
graphs are predefined
for each script. New 'modules' consisting of script+graph details can
be created.
2. No Server Package - The 'SystemTapGUI server' is no longer needed.
SystemTapGUI now
uses simple remote ssh commands to execute scripts on remote machines.
3. Windows client
4. Browse tapsets on remote Machine - The IDE can now list the
probes/functions available
on the remote machine where the scripts are to be executed.
Note - The example scripts used with the Dashboard are available on
SystemTap v0.9 or
above. One or more modules may not work with older versions of SystemTap.
Detailed help on how to use the dashboard is available as part of the package.
Regards,
Anithra.
