Re: Original source of charmaps in localedata?

Based on "git log localedata/charmaps", they seem to have existed for
a long time, extending into pre-history (the first commit in the log
is f5f52655, 1997-03-05). localedata/README from back then says:

| The here contained files can originally be found at
|
|	ftp://dkuug.dk/i18n/WG15-collection
|
| Keld JÃrn Simonsen from the Danish Unix User Group maintains this
| archive on behalf of the POSIX working groups. When you find some wrong
| data or want to add something please contact
|
|	Keld JÃrn Simonsen <keld@dkuug.dk>
| and
|	Ulrich Drepper <drepper@cygnus.com>
|
| Please make sure your corrections are relativ to the originally
| distributed files. Consult the CHECKSUMS file which contains the MD5
| sums for all data files.

That collection still seems to exist, password-protected. The history
since then in the glibc repo includes lots of seemingly manual fixes,
though.

Hope that helps,
Jonathan
