I believe that I read on http:///www.sleepycat.com that a release with a different minor version number is not entirely compatible with previous versions. Therefore there may be compatibility problems caused by the update for 2.4.14 to 2.7.5. These incompatibilities range from changes to the format of the files on disk, via incompatibilities in the programming interface (which might break source compatibility), to true interface changes (which might break binary compatibility). There is a list of all these changes on the web-pages. Is this something we should worry about? Investigate? Or solve when actual problems come up? Mark
