Please consider undoing the latest elf/dl-close.c patch in glibc
2.0 from RedHat 5:

which I believe is wrong. I have pointed out the real bug and provided
a test case. BTW, have you installed my patch for elf/dl-open.c? Can
you dupilcate PR 620 with my patch installed?

Ulrich, I have spent several days on it. That approach is incorrect.
I have tried it myself before I realized that the real bug was in
elf/dl-open.c. I think I am correct. But I can be convinced with
a test case.
