Any feedback about it?

If there is no further feedback then I'll assume consensus and I'll push
the patches [1] in less than one week.  Thank you Tamuki Shoichi for your
feedback. [2] I understand that variable width dates may look bad in tabular
output like a log listing but also I assume that enforcing constant width
in date and time formats when they are displayed standalone (that means:
only one date or time) may make them unnatural.  As we can't satisfy
both requirements then I'd rather make the standalone formats look better.
