This is the second time someone's hinted that "hey, you might want to
rebuild anyway, due to unspecified GCC changes".  Pretty sure that if
you want to use that as an argument for rebuilding the world, a pointer
to these supposed issues would help.
I figured you or your team would be monitoring the upstream lists for this stuff. I'm thinking specifically about the fixes for GCC BZ 59909 which fixes a power8 bootstrap failure. The patch for that was checked in about a week ago.
