A number of comments:
- get crypt-2.1.0 from ftp.gwdg.de (see FAQ for exact location) and
don't use crypt-2.0.6.
- make clean doesn't work - see our bug database for details
- if you got the problem other than with running make clean, I would
be really interested how you did it.
- always run make check before installing
