I wrote a self-contained test case. It is not very simple, and may seem
contrived. My real code is actually much simpler (just one condition variable),
but it is not suitable as a test.
I ran the test on my dual-core laptop and had consistent results of one stolen
signal. I guess that with more cores it will be possible for more signals to be
stolen. Typically it took from 3 to 40 iterations to hit the race.
I would appreciate your feedback.
