[Bug libc/10971] New: configure-script complains about a valid binutils-version


Binutils 2.20, trying to build glibc 2.9. 

http://www.gnu.org/software/libc/manual/html_node/Tools-for-Compilation.html#Tools-for-Compilation
tells me I need binutils 2.15 or higher, which I have (see configure log below),
but configure still tells me that binutils 2.20 is too old:
