gdb 6.0 on Solaris 9

Subject: gdb 6.0 on Solaris 9

I am trying to use gdb to analyze a core dump (core file size is 3.2Gb) on a
Solaris 9 machine. Upon opening the core, I get an error message saying
"value too large for defined type". Any ideas?
