For now I'll just concentrate on the introduction of the dwarf strings
functions themselves because that is what really matters to me. I'll
stash the rest of the patch set till we get that in.

I don't mind some code cleanup, playing with nicer readelf output,
adding some extra tests or features, but it seems to distract enormously
from the actual patch as proposed more than a month ago. Lets see if
without all the distractions we can finally get this in under a month.
