- Subject: [docbook-apps] Line breaks in para: literallayout unsuitable
Hello all,
Sometimes it is of interest to make a paragraph lighter by inserting a line
break -- like two paragraphs but without an empty line inbetween. Judging
from a google search, the correct way of doing this is to encapsulate the
text in the literallayout element.
A problem with this(if I got everything right) is it interprets everything
literally -- if a paragraph is word wrapped in the source file this will show
up too. literallyout is quite constraining for inserting a line break.
Why doesn't a simple <line-break/> element exist(with a better name)? It would
be possible to express in a logical way(just as much as para). Why doesn't it
exist?
Or what have I missed?
