AlcoveBook 0.0.999 released

Version 0.0.999 of the AlcoveBook DTD, and DocBook stylesheet
customisations, has been released. This is a beta version, and the
first official release to the world, although I have posted some
pieces of it to the list during the last months. It also integrates
some pieces of DSSSL code posted by others on this list. Probably
only bugfixes will be integrated until 1.0 comes out.

About AlcoveBook
================

AlcoveBook is a strict subset of the DocBook DTD. The ultimate goal is
to provide a series of DTDs for enterprise use: commercial proposal,
whitepaper, etc., as well as dedicated stylesheets, and tools to
easily use the whole.

Currently available are:
- the AlcoveBook DTD ("v0.0" and "v0.1 Draft")
- customisations of Norman Walsh's stylesheets, usable on both DocBook
and AlcoveBook documents:
 * an extension layer, which adds a couple of features and parameters
 * a book-like stylesheet for articles
 * an experimental article style

The goal of the extension layer is to experiment with new features,
before eventually feeding them to Norm for inclusion in future
releases of docbook-dsssl.
