Are you trying to do this in HTML? That doesn't work because HTML
doesn't provide that level of control. (It's possible, I believe, to
get that level of control by using CSS2, but CSS2 isn't widely
supported yet. E.g., that technique doesn't work in NS 4.7 on Linux).
