Cool! RPM-based solutions are *definitely* of interest on this end.
Ian, thanks for sharing your thoughts... very interesting to read.
My currently broken Java environment is why I wound up exploring (and
being quite happy with) xsltproc/libxslt. My next project is either
to: a) get Sebastian's PassiveTeX to work (just downloaded it yesterday,
haven't tried it); or b) fix my Java issues so I can try FOP.
