I (and others) have had this problem also and I'm sure the answer is on this
list somewhere, try scouring the archives.
If you are not fussed about using these entities, try increasing the number
of errors jade will tolerate before bailing out, -E is the option from
memory (or jade -h for helpful output).
A bit of a brute force solution, but quick and easy to at least get some
output and see if this is what you are after.

I've followed the intruction in xml.htm for using jade like this
But I still get a lot of error messages like this:
