Re: Making the jump to XML

/ Gary Lawrence Murphy <garym@canada.com> was heard to say:
| >>>>> "N" == Norman Walsh <ndw@nwalsh.com> writes:
|
| N> I'm not sure I follow at all. I assumed you wanted something
| N> like this:
|
| N> <programlisting>#include <stdio.h> blah blah blah
| N> </programlisting>
|
| My apologies, I was referring to the second case:
|
| <![%AltVersion;[
| <sect1 id="config-intro" userlevel="unleashed" vendor="redhat">
|
Introduction to the Linux Kernel

|
|
| and speculating that XML would require using the 'vendor' or
| 'userlevel' attribute to filter these out of the MainVersion instead
| of defining AltVersion to be IGNORE

Yes, that's right. That's a marked section that you can't do in XML.

                                        Be seeing you,
                                          norm

P.S. There's no need to send things to me and the list, just send them
to the list. I read docbook-apps, honest :-)
