Cygwin, hey? I couldn't make it work, and because I'm using emulation (QEMU
or VirtualBox), it takes ages to just extract the targballs (1 hour!), plus
2 hours more to build GMP, and some time more before MPFR fails...

I think I did post a patch that was expected to workaround (even fix) that,
look in the archives around 2008-11 and 2008-12. If it does work, please
wave a hand!
