Re: crosstool for ppc_8xx ?

Hi,

can someone please recommend a working toolchain build with crosstool for Motorola's MPC8xx (PPC) processors - maybe using gcc-3.x and glibc-2.2.5 and linux-2.4.

Try ELDK from Wolfgang Denk. See www.denx.de.
Fully satisfied my requirements :)
There are linux 2.4 kernel sources for MPC8xx
available as well.

I know. Thanks.

But the ELDK has the problem that it can only be build on ancient Red Hat 7.3 systems. And I don't want to install use it.
I'd prefer to build the toolchain myself on the host I am going to use to compile my applications.
That's why I am asking for a combination of compiler, glibc and kernel that works with crosstool.
