This may be http://gcc.gnu.org/PR9552

It does not fail like this here, maybe because PR9552 depends on the build system.
I'm running Red Hat 9 on x86, using its standard compiler.
What OS, CPU, gcc, glibc, and binutils does your build system have installed?
