David; The GNU tools support the MPC5XX quite nicely. You can get full precompiled GNU tool sets at the Macraigor web site for both Windows and Linux. www.macraigor.com JTAG/BDM debugging of the MPC5XX processor is supported using the Macraigor Wiggler and Raven under Windows. The Macraigor Raven is supported under Linux. Note; I work for Macraigor.
