but 2.95.3-5 fails for me as well.
In case you're interested we replaced the MRI compiler for the 68332
with gcc when we moved from C to C++. MRI has a good C compiler but
their C++ implementation had some flaws. That was 2 years ago.
Can you try the following script just to see if it works for anyone else
but me. It makes a one pass build of gcc 2.95.3 from the tarballs in
about 1 hour. Just copy it along with the tarballs in any directory and
run it with
bash -e makgcc.sh 2>&1 | tee make.log
--------------------------------
export TARGET=m68k-elf
export PREFIX=/usr/gcc2953
export PATH=$PREFIX/bin:$PATH
tar -jxf binutils-2.12.1.tar.bz2
mkdir binutils
cd binutils
../binutils-2.12.1/configure --target=$TARGET --prefix=$PREFIX
make all install
cd ..
tar -jxf gcc-2.95.3.tar.bz2
tar -zxf newlib-1.10.0.tar.gz
mv newlib-1.10.0/newlib gcc-2.95.3/newlib
rm -r newlib-1.10.0
mkdir gcc
cd gcc
../gcc-2.95.3/configure --target=$TARGET --prefix=$PREFIX --with-newlib
--with-gnu-as --with-gnu-ld --enable-languages=c,c++
make all install
cd ..
