Hi, It looks like you are trying to do this the hard way -- build each tool separately. ftp the latest "FAQ" from ftp.cygnus.com/pub/embedded/crossgcc. You'll need gcc-2.7.2, bintutils-2.7 (I used 2.8.1 and it worked fine), newlib-1.7 or 1.8, the "crossgcc-xxxx" patch (from cygnus's ftp cite), and "one-tree-1.4.sh". Then, follow the directions from the FAQ -- the one-step build. Make sure you follow the steps exactly and you don't skip a step. I was able to build a linux hosted mips64-elf cross compiler this way without any problems.
