libffi available for ARM??

Hello All:

This is *not quite* a binutils question but it seems like the cast of
characters following this list might at least be able point us in the
right direction.

We are working on a port of libgcj to arm and are having some trouble
compiling the code for linking and resolving classes and pool entries in
resolve.cc. Although there is supposedly an ARM variant of libffi, the
apparent problem is the lack of "ffi closures" for ARM.

Is it the case that a similar repertoire of these so-called closures to
what has been done for the x86 flavor of libffi is required for the
interpreter of GCJ to function on ARM? If so, has anyone done this
already? Or, should I be able to build libgcj without adding to libffi?

Thanks in advance,
