- Subject: New release
Hi all,
I've uploaded a new release of Xming to the download site at
http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Xming
Changes:
o Fix crash on server shutdown
I never noticed this one before today. It was caused by an IO error
in the window manager on server shutdown and a failing longjmp()
o Fix simultanious presses of Left and Right Control and Shift keys
This was reported on the Cygwin/X mailing list. Windows reports an
the left control as repeat of the right control press. Same applies
to shift with the additional problem that windows does only report
when the last shift key was released, so one key would stay in pressed
state
o Fix problem with fake Control press on Alt-Gr
Windows sometimes reports the control and alt messages as WM_SYSKEYDOWN
instead of WM_KEYDOWN which caused the fake key detection to fail.
o Lock screen in multiwindow mode for external window managers
The internalwm code allows external window managers to take over the
screen. This does not work for multiwindow but the code was the same
so an external window manager could connect to the xserver. The result
was window decoration from Windows and from the window manager stacked.
This looked quite strange
