Bug #: 14842
Summary: Old "-kelf" and "--ignore-dwarf" command line options
should be removed
Product: systemtap
Version: unspecified
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: translator
AssignedTo: systemtap@sourceware.org
ReportedBy: dsmith@redhat.com
Classification: Unclassified
While working on bug #14820 (which deleted the old '--ksym' and
'--ignore-vmlinux" options), I discovered that the old "-kelf" and
"--ignore-dwarf" command line options should also be removed. These options
have been undocumented for a long time, and the only use of them was a few
tests in the testsuite.
(All debuginfo-less kernel probing is now done with 'kprobe' probes.)
