Summary: implied process("...") target for stap -c CMD
invocation
Product: systemtap
Version: unspecified
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: translator
AssignedTo: systemtap@sources.redhat.com
ReportedBy: fche@redhat.com
A user observed the redundancy of usage like
stap -e 'probe process("a.out")...., process("a.out").... {}' -c a.out
We should support a heuristic that fills in missing process names into:
probe process.function("...")
for -c a.out type usage. This would require parsing the CMDLINE a bit.
