RE: parse error when compiling newlib-1.17.0
It might be because your 2.7.2.3 GCC version is before they added the
__extension__ keyword. Try a quick test to see if that's the case.
Then you can either use a command-line option to define it away or
can just nuke it from the files (the former being better so that your
local source would not be out of line with the official.)

When building newlib-1.17.0 I get a weird parsing error message:
/m/m2/safwat/navid/src2/newlib/libc/include/sys/_types.h:36: parse error
before `__extension__'
How do I solve this problem? what might cause this?
