Hi,
Attached is a patch to merge changes in libgloss/m68k from
newlib-csl-20060320-branch.
This patch separates bdm*.[ch] into io*.[ch] and cf*.[ch], where
io*.[ch] are in charge of generic semihosting routines, and cf*.[ch]
are for ColdFire specific routines. The reason for separating them is
because we would like to reuse io*.[ch] for some other chip, for which
I will post another patch soon.
To add support for other boards, this patch touches configure
machinery a little bit. Specifically, if __mcoldfire__ is defined,
then libgloss/m68k/Makefile.in builds a library for ColdFire.
Unfortunately, detecting whether __mcoldfire__ is defined or not pulls
compiler checks into configure, and configure starts doing link tests,
which would fail without libc. To work around the problem, I
temporarily tweak LDFLAGS. For details, please look at the hunk for
libgloss/m68k/configure.in.
If you think I should split this patch, please let me know. Tested by
building newlib. OK to apply?
