static only build is broken

Subject: static only build is broken

Trying to build a static only library (--disable-shared
--disable-profile) fails with:

make[2]: *** No rule to make target `/usr/src/aj/build-glibc-mainline-static/Versions.v.i', needed by `/usr/src/aj/build-glibc-mainline-static/stdio-common/errlist-compat.c'.  Stop.
make[2]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
