Adhemerval, does that mean we have consensus to use the unadorned names or
do we need more people to comment?

In addition, if the consensus is that the functions should be added with
the _np suffixes then would it be better to do that in a single new patch
or to modify each of the existing (but already reviewed) patches? I had a
go at modifying the individual patches to be prepared and the abilist
files cause a lot of conflicts when a function is renamed. :(

I think unadorned should be simpler and should generated less trouble.

I am OK with the unadorned names.
Carlos, do I have an 'ok' to push it on master?
Yes, please push to master. I'd like to see this land.
