port came from Altera; the bulk of the original (2008/9) port was by
Andrew Jenner (bits by me and Nathan Sidwell).

i assume codesourcery long ago sorted out their copyright assignment papers.

Altera has a copyright assignment on file with the FSF that at least covers their contributions to other components of the Nios II toolchain (GCC, GDB, etc). But, as Joseph already said, the initial GLIBC port was the work of Andrew Jenner and others at CodeSourcery ca 2008 and the attribution of those patches to Altera is incorrect. (Altera's original Nios II toolchain was bare-metal only.)
