This patch removes various unused files from sysdeps/unix/bsd/.
The immediate motivation is that removing __FAVOR_BSD allows cleaning
up sigpause implementations, and the sigsuspend implementation here
calling __sigpause is a potential obstacle to that; since it's unused,
it makes more sense to remove it than to work out what it might look
like in a world where otherwise there is (except for compat symbols)
no __sigpause (with its extra argument selecting POSIX or BSD
semantics) and only the POSIX sigpause. But it turned out there are
lots more unused files there and it seems to make sense to remove them
consistently. If the GNU/kFreeBSD port is ever submitted, it can add
back whichever of these files are actually relevant to it; until then,
these files just cause unnecessary work in global cleanups.
This patch is independent of the __FAVOR_BSD cleanup (it makes sense
with or without that patch).
Specifically, the following files in sysdeps/unix/bsd have versions in
sysdeps/mach/hurd or sysdeps/mach, which take precedence over
sysdeps/unix/bsd for Hurd builds, and aren't #included by other files
in the source tree either:
bits/posix_opt.h
bits/stat.h
clock.c
init-posix.c
poll.c
ptsname.c
seekdir.c
setegid.c
seteuid.c
setgid.c
setsid.c
setuid.c
sigaction.c
sigprocmask.c
sigsuspend.c
sys/reboot.h
telldir.c
times.c
usleep.c
The following are unused because no makefile refers to them and no
source file #includes them:
bsdstat.h
setrgid.c
setruid.c
And no current glibc configuration uses the following sysdeps
directories under sysdeps/unix/bsd:
bsd4.4/freebsd
i386
Tested x86_64 that the installed shared libraries are unchanged by
this patch.
