- Subject: experimental developments with glibc
hello list,
I want to try some developments with glibc so I
have built myself a new glibc (based on v2.5).
The question is how can I test my version ?
Is it possible to have 2 working libc libraries in the system
and switch between them (the one that comes with my distro (feisty)
and another one for experimental developments...) ?
I tried to install the new glibc in my home folder, but 'make install'
immediately failed because it couldn't find
~/glibc-2.5-install/etc/ld.so.conf...
And how do I make gcc use my new glibc ? Must I rebuild gcc ?
thanks so much
