What is so difficult about (a) reading the included documentation, assuming you have (aa) an installation of glibc somewhere or (ab) you have the source code of glibc or (b) going to some www search engine (<http://google.com/> comes to mind immediately), have it search for ``glibc'', go for the first result (which should be <http://www.gnu.org/software/libc/>) and read through that page?
