That's a problem of interaction with gcc and binutils. I'm not sure
what the exact versions are so that this test will work - you might
need the current development versions.
Does anybody know for sure if gcc 2.95.2 supports this test with any
binutils version?

The failure you get in the math tests is a different one - different
precision. This should be fixed in the next release
