The comment is still wrong, but for another reason:

2009-03-15 10:03:38 replaced the implementation, but not the comments.
Today, the code is the hack taken from Alan Mycroft's HAKMEMC postings, but the
comments describes an old implementation.
It could be fixed be doing what Stas Yakovlev proposed on 2008-04-17 19:55:59
