Hi Michael,
I've run the testsuite on a few Linux systems lately, but I have yet
to encounter one where all tests in gdb.base/checkpoint.exp PASS. I
get the feeling that the new functionality only works on systems
running a pretty recent kernel. If that's true, I think this should
be documented somewhere.
In at least one testsuite, I unthinkingly included the name of a
library function in a backtrace. Later I noticed that the traceback
looked different on different systems.
If there's something else that causes incompatibility, I'd like
to know about it.
