Building gdb for sparcv9-sun-solaris2.8

Hi,
I am trying to build gdb 5.0 for
sparcv9-sun-solaris2.8 host and I am getting a failure
while configuring:
The command:
../src/configure
--prefix=/home/debbie/gdb-5.0-sparc64/install
sparcv9-sun-solaris2.8
The error:

.
.
checking for cygwin... no
checking for tgetent in -lncurses... no
checking for tgetent in -lHcurses... no
checking for tgetent in -ltermlib... yes
checking for X... libraries /usr/openwin/lib, headers
/usr/openwin/include
configure: error: *** Gdb does not support host
sparcv9-sun-solaris2.8
Configure in
/home/debbie/gdb-5.0-sparc64/build_with_32/gdb failed,
exiting.
There are errors in the config.log - I can provide
more info if it looks like I am doing something wrong
as opposed to gdb is not available for a
sparcv9-sun-solaris2.8 host.
Has anyone been able to build gdb for this host?
