For example in this simple case:
_Z6outer2IsEPFilES1_
displayed with nm -C as:
int (*outer2<short>(int (*)(long)))(long)
But one has to transform it for GDB into the DMGL_RET_DROP form as:
outer2<short>(int (*)(long))
Which seems non-trivial for a copy-paste to me, sure it can be much more
complicated.
