I am working on creating the next pre-release off this branch. I will send

PS: I am aware of PR build/2404 on AIX. I haven't had time to look
carefully into it, but it's easy to work around the problem
(--disable-werror). Nonetheless, the patch will be considered
for inclusion in 6.8.
