- Subject: [PATCH/RFC] Register sets
OK folks, after reading all reactions on my origional post I'm pretty
confident that the following definition of `struct regset' is what we
need:
/* Data structure describing a register set. */
struct regset
{
/* Data pointer for private use by the methods below, presumably
providing some sort of description of the register set. */
const void *descr;
/* Function supplying a register set to a register cache. */
void (*supply_regset) (const struct regset *regset,
struct regcache *regcache,
int regnum, const void *regs, size_t len);
};
It keeps in line with GDB's current object model, and provides a hook
to store any register set-specific data. I've included only the
supply_regset call right now. The read_regset will follow when I get
at implementing the gcore support.
It's my intent to check this in on Thursday or Friday, such that I can
make some progress with the corefile support over the weekend.
