Um, won't the final:

        if (mips_abi == MIPS_ABI_UNKNOWN)
          mips_abi = MIPS_ABI_032;

kick in?


No, not if MIPS_ABI_DEFAULT is defined....

Undefine it .... :-)

I never did like it.
