[tsims@mc.com: Keeper of "gdb user interface"]

It sounds like these people could potentially be quite helpful.
Maybe someone could talk with this guy?

I am an engineer with Mercury Computers. We support a debugger for
Mercury systems which is based on gdb. We are adding new capabilities
to the debugger to support the display and modification of the Altivec
vector registers available on the new generation of Power PC
processors. I would like to know if the "gdb community" has already
addressed this issue. Is there already an agreed upon gdb user
interface extension for dealing with these new registers? If yes, where
can I find out about it? If no, what is the process (or who is the
contact person/organization) for submitting our interface extension
ideas for consideration as the standard?
Thanks for any information you can provide on this topic.
