Ouch. I'm trying to get an answer from this end. Every time I try to
get started on this job I seem to encounter another obstacle :-).
Shouldn't be too much trouble to get a blanket assignment a la Cygnus;
it's not like RH wants any of the adverse publicity that would be
generated by them *not* doing an assignment! ("Red Hat hoards GNU
code, animated PNG at 11" :-) )
Speaking of obstacles, did you see my bug report to the egcs bug list?
And do you understand RTL and global.c well enough to be any help? (I
particularly mean "you == Stan" but anyone else who wants to offer
help may do so :-)). <rhetorical question mode>Why couldn't my first
GCC bug be an easier one?</rhetorical>

RTL has shore changed a lot; back when ah wuz doin' GCC, we wuz lucky
to get a two-op'rand rtx through reload! We di'n't ha' none of them
fancy parallels or clobbers...

Seriously, it looks like you found a nasty... good luck!
