I guess it makes sense to release early and release often. I was hoping
to get some more stuff in (unwinder and arm64 backend) before the next
release. But those will probably take some time to polish. Having a
quick release now with what we have might be a good idea. I did already
backport the cfi_abi patches for arm, ppc and s390 to the fedora
elfutils package. Having a new release would help other distros not
wanting to do backports. And maybe the systemtap hackers would also like
to see a quick release with the dwarf_getfuncs () fixes so they can just
point at a newer elfutils version instead of having to add workarounds
to their own code.
Lets see what we have at the end of the week. And aim for a 0.157
release next week after running tests on various systems.
