In cygwin 1.7 chmod does not work with MS DOS style paths and I need to
convert these paths to POSIX style paths before doing the chmod
Is there a way to create a wrapper chmod.exe that will do this conversion and
then perform the chmod operation.
How about creating a bash alias which uses "cygpath -ua" to do the conversion
of the parameter? If you need to be able to handle multiple files, you could
turn the simple alias into a function the loops through all the parameters,
for example.
