Ports has provided heimdal for some time (heimdal is fully autotooled, so it's a lot easier to build correctly than MIT-KRB5), but I don't know how to test it "in the field" (make check looks good, though).

I just updated the build for 1.2.1, if someone wants to give it a spin:
